Wes Okafor, Owner & Lead Insulation Technician
I’ve been sealing and insulating homes since 2016, and I’ve learned that the attic always tells the truth - even when the homeowner doesn’t know what to ask. I started Topside Attic Insulation Canyon Lake after running blower-door tests on too many houses where someone had blown insulation over unsealed top plates and called it done. That envelope-first approach, seal-then-insulate, became our non-negotiable standard. I hold a BPI Building Analyst certification and spend most days either in an attic in Canyon Lake or on the phone with a customer explaining why their upstairs bedroom won’t cool below 78 degrees. Off the job, I rebuild vintage motorcycles in a garage that’s probably better insulated than most of the homes I visit.

Marcus has been crawling attics and crawl spaces for eleven years, starting as a helper in New Braunfels before joining our crew in 2019. Dana R., Service Coordinator
Dana answers the phones and schedules every appointment, which means she’s the live voice you get when you call (737) 227-6219 at 10 PM because your AC is running nonstop and you finally want answers. She’s been with us since 2021 and knows every neighborhood in Canyon Lake from Startzville to Hancock, including which subdivisions have the recurring ductwork issues and which builders cut corners on envelope sealing in the 2005-2010 boom. Dana coordinates our documented photo records, making sure every customer gets their before-and-after images and blower-door readings within 24 hours of job completion. She trains quarter horses on her family’s place near Spring Branch and applies the same patience to explaining R-values to first-time homeowners.
Eli V., Apprentice Installer
Eli joined us in 2023 after two years in residential HVAC and a realization that he was treating symptoms while the real problems sat two feet above his head in the attic. He’s working toward his BPI certification and currently specializes in blown-in cellulose and fiberglass installations, plus the meticulous prep work of sealing can lights and top plates before any insulation goes in. Eli grew up in Bulverde and played offensive line at Smithson Valley, which comes in handy hauling hose through tight attic hatches. He asks more questions than anyone on the crew, which is exactly why we hired him.
